80th Birthday Party

The Huntsman saved an 80th birthday celebration. The Huntsman was able to accommodate 9 of us for lunch the week before Christmas on only a few days’ notice. The food was excellent – lots of choice and some unusual / creative things on the menu. They happily accommodated one of the party who wanted 2 starters in place of a main course. Our Portuguese waiter, whose name I didn’t catch, provided first class service, wine recommendations, and banter. I really recommend the Huntsman for a lovely meal. They also have a fabulous log fire

Birthday Skittle Party

We recently celebrated our son’s 18th birthday with a family of 16 people. Age ranged from 12 to seventy something.
We hired their private room with skittle alley for the evening. Ann was very helpful and organised everything for our booking. From the moment we arrived and till the very end, the staff were very friendly and attentive, nothing was a problem for them. The food was great and plenty of it, everyone enjoyed what they had and leftovers were taken home. Takeaway boxes were provided. The private room is separate from the main restaurant, so we could relax and not worry about being too noisy for the rest of the guests. We used the main bar for our drinks. However, for a bigger party there is a bar within the private hire room, which would have been opened. Toilets are also available within the private area. The music played was perfect for the occasion and it wasn’t too loud either, so we could hear each other. We were allowed to put up our own decorations and bring a cake with us. They kindly provided plates for us. Everyone had a brilliant time and it was a great evening to remember.

Wedding Party

We chose to have our wedding welcome party at the Huntsman of Brockenhurst in November. We had about 50 people and a buffet in the skittle alley events room. It was a fantastic evening- the room looked amazing with lots of tea lights lit and a cosy, warm but elegant vibe. The food was also very good, plenty of it with lots of choice. Bar service in the main bar was excellent and quick. Staff were very friendly. I would recommend having your next family get together at the Huntsman who made it pretty straight forward. We will always have a special place in our heart for this pub, and am sure we will return many times in the future.
